Supported Currencies
Projexia supports four currencies for budgets, invoices, and financial tracking. You set your default currency at the organization level, and it applies across all projects and invoices.
Available Currencies
| Currency | Symbol | Full Name |
|---|---|---|
| INR | ₹ | Indian Rupee |
| USD | $ | US Dollar |
| EUR | € | Euro |
| GBP | £ | British Pound |
Setting Your Default Currency
- Go to Sidebar → Settings
- Click the Preferences tab
- Find the Currency dropdown under Regional Preferences
- Select your preferred currency
- Click Save Changes
The selected currency is used as the default for:
- Project budgets — When you set a budget for a project
- Invoices — The currency shown on invoices sent to clients
- Expense tracking — When logging project expenses
- Financial displays — How amounts are formatted across the platform
Changing the currency setting only affects how new amounts are displayed. It does not convert existing values from one currency to another.
Indian Numbering System
When INR is selected, large amounts are displayed using the Indian numbering system:
- Thousands — 1,000 to 99,999
- Lakh — 1,00,000 (one hundred thousand). Written as “1 Lakh”
- Crore — 1,00,00,000 (ten million). Written as “1 Crore”
For example:
- ₹5,00,000 is shown as “5 Lakh”
- ₹1,20,00,000 is shown as “1.2 Crore”
This makes large rupee amounts easier to read at a glance, especially for Indian agencies.
If your clients are international, consider using USD or EUR. If your primary market is India, INR with Indian numbering is the most natural choice.
