Setting Up White-Label Branding

Projexia lets you customize the look and feel of your platform so it matches your agency’s brand. You can set a global accent color for your dashboard, a brand color for the client portal, and even override colors for specific clients. This guide covers all three levels.

Level 1: Agency Dashboard Accent Color

This changes the accent color used throughout your own Agency Dashboard — buttons, active tabs, highlights, and other interactive elements.

  1. Go to Sidebar → Settings
  2. Click the Preferences tab
  3. Scroll down to Dashboard Theme
  4. Pick a color from the 10 preset options, or enter a custom hex code (e.g., #2563eb)
  5. Preview the color in the box next to the picker
  6. Click Save Changes

This only affects what you and your team see in the Agency Dashboard. Clients don’t see this color.

Level 2: Client Portal Default Branding

This sets the default brand color and login message for all client portals. Any client who doesn’t have custom branding will see these settings.

  1. Go to Sidebar → Settings
  2. Click the Client Portal tab
  3. Under Branding:
    • Brand Color — Pick from presets or enter a custom hex code. This color is used for buttons, links, and accents in the client portal
    • Portal Login Message — A custom message shown on the client portal login page (e.g., “Welcome to our client portal. Log in to view your project updates.”)
  4. Click Save Changes

Use your agency’s primary brand color here. It makes the client portal feel like a seamless extension of your business rather than a third-party tool.

Level 3: Per-Client Branding

If you want a specific client’s portal to use their own brand colors (instead of your agency’s), you can override the defaults:

  1. Go to Sidebar → Clients
  2. Click on the client you want to customize
  3. Go to Portal Settings on their detail page
  4. Set a custom brand color for this client
  5. Save

This client’s portal will now use their custom color instead of your agency’s default.

Per-client branding overrides the default portal branding from Settings. If you remove the per-client color, it falls back to your agency’s default.

What Clients See

Here’s how branding appears to your clients:

Login Page

  • The brand color is used for the login button and accents
  • Your login message appears above the login form
  • The overall page uses the brand color as a visual theme

Inside the Portal

  • Buttons use the brand color
  • Links and active navigation items use the brand color
  • Status badges and other UI elements incorporate the brand color as an accent

The branding uses CSS variables behind the scenes, so the color is applied consistently across every page of the portal.

If you manage clients from different industries, per-client branding is a nice touch. A law firm’s portal can feel “theirs” with dark navy accents, while a retail client gets vibrant orange. Small details like this make your agency look more professional.
